Govt. extends the validation date of existing registered companies under MSME

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has notified the extension of the validation date for existing registered businesses as MSMEs until March 31, 2022.

In exercising the powers conferred by subsections (1) and (9) of section 7, read together with subsections (2) and (3) of section 8 of the Micro Development Act 2006, Small and Medium Enterprises (27 of 2006), the Central Government hereby makes the amendments in the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Number SO 2119 (E), dated 26th June 2020, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3, subsection (ii).

“In the said notification, in paragraph (7), subparagraph (3), the numbers and the words “March 31, 2021” are replaced by the numbers and the words “March 31, 2022”. “, announced the government.

The Ministry of MSMEs, in Notification No. SO 278(E) dated January 19, 2022, issued changes in its previous Notification No. SO 2119 (E), dated June 26, 2020, notifying the criteria for classification of enterprises as Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and clarified the form and procedure for filing the memorandum to extend the validation date for existing businesses registered before June 30, 2020, under the Development Act 2006 of micro, small and medium enterprises (27 of 2006) from March 31, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
