Celltrion Becomes Korea’s First Mass Supplier of COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits After Proving Quality, Supply Capabilities, and Price Competitiveness
Celltrion announced that the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) of the Department of Defense has awarded Celltrion USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Celltrion, a supply contract for its DiaTrustMT COVID-19 Ag rapid test.
Celltrion USA will make deliveries to approximately 25,000 US CONUS sites to support military bases, long-term care facilities, community test sites, critical infrastructure and other designated locations on a weekly basis.

Celltrion’s supply capacity for the contract volume is sufficiently supported by the large-scale production facility in Korea. In addition, Celltrion USA highlighted the company’s drug distribution performance in the US market over the past three years to demonstrate its ability to make on-time deliveries to 25,000 designated locations in the US, at a competitive price.
Unlike other COVID-19 antigen rapid test kits, DiaTrustMT is a product that applied two COVID-19 virus binding antibodies to both N protein and S protein, respectively, resulting in improved sensitivity by 93.3% and specificity by 99.0 %. Also, the infection can be diagnosed in just 15 minutes.
The test kits to be provided through this contact are point-of-care testing (POCT) that may only be used in the presence of healthcare professionals.
