Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, based in Salina, has announced that Mark Decker is its new president.

Decker took office as president on July 5 and replaces John Quinley, who retired from Land Pride, a manufacturer of tractor implements and accessories for Kubota-branded skid steers.

He has over 25 years of experience with Land Pride and Great Plains, including a decade as National Sales Director and most recently Vice President of Sales since 2015.

“Mark is the right leader for Land Pride,” said Linda Salem, President and CEO of Great Plains Manufacturing. “Mark’s extensive experience with Land Pride and the industry, along with his business development skills and ability to communicate, will help Land Pride continue on its strong growth path. We believe that his leadership experience will benefit the company as a whole. “

Having started with the company in 1996 as Territory Manager for the Land Pride turf division, Decker had a motivation that led to success and promotion, including a position of Regional Manager in 1997 and the position of national sales director in 1999 where he led a team of 35 sales professionals. His promotion to vice president in 2015 coincided with the strongest growth in the company’s history.

Decker said he is excited to continue with Land Pride, a place that has a great staff and people who continue to lead the industry.

“We have a great team in place that will continue to make Land Pride a leader in this industry,” said Decker. “My first responsibility will be to ensure that Land Pride maintains our relationship with our dealers and our position in our industry. “
