The time is fast approaching for each of you to make decisions on the number of validation ear tags you will need for the 2021-2022 Texas 4-H / FFA Lamb, Goat, Ewe Validation Programs. breeding and breeding goat. The validation fee will be $ 15 each for all sheep and goats; there will be no option for county tags only.

Remember, if you are planning to show a lamb or goat at one of the major livestock and / or county shows, you must order and pay for your tags no later than August 27, 2021.

Recall – Texas Lamb Breeders Association tag numbers MUST be in the lambs ear and recorded on the form during validation. NO TLBA label number will be added to validation forms after validation. Market lambs and dams must have a tag from the Texas Lamb Breeders Association in order to participate in the San Angelo Stock Show or receive TLBA recognition at other major shows.

Texas Goat Breeders Association tag numbers must be in the goat’s ear and recorded on the validation form at the time of validation. Market goats and hinds are eligible for this program and will have the same TGBA green tag. The TGBA tag is not required to enter a show this year, but bonuses will be awarded to exhibitors with TGBA tags.
